Bengaluru Design Festival is looking for installation submissions from schools and colleges that express design with the use of waste, upcycling and/or new sustainable materials; all of which have a positive impact on the environment. Proposed installations could be built for an indoor or outdoor space which can be usable and accessible for the students of the institution. If the institution allows the installations can be open for the general public also. If the installations are exceptionally good, BDF will consider exhibiting the installation at the BDF venue or even at a public space, if it's permanent and usable by the public.
Students groups who are developing new materials & design solutions with positive impact on the environment have to submit the drawing and design of the proposed installation before the deadline. Final installation should be ready to be exhibited from 11th November to 12th December.
Submissions should be with real life identical high-resolution images /renderings – physical models, 3D’s, architectural drawings and/or sketches are encouraged. Eg of the installations includes, well designed/innovative public utility spaces, furnitures, common sitting areas, design/art monuments etc.
The best installations for college and school will be awarded with a prize of 100,000 each.
Last date to submit the design : 30th September 2022. Selected design has to be executed by 10th November 2022.
